What to Expect at Our Service:

  • Chancel Choir, organ/piano and Praise Band

  • Holy Communion each first Sunday of the month

Nursery

9:00 am - 11:30 am (Classroom 10) Infants through age 5


You may bring children in and out of the nursery and the service throughout this time period.

Epworth UMC of James Island follows "Safe Sanctuary" regulations with our children and youth.  Our staff are trained in "Safe Sanctuary" procedures closely follow them.


Children and Youth Sunday School

9:15 am through 10:15 am


Children In Action (CIA)  (Classroom 8)

The CIA class will begin a new lesson on August 4th.  Our busy bees will be traveling through the Beatitudes for 13 weeks.  Children in 1st through 5th grades are welcome to join us on this journey.

Youth Class (Classroom 11)

Middle school and high school students learn how the Bible applies to their life and faith.  We are currently using the Th1nk LifeChange series.



Adult Studies


Sundays at 9:00 or 9:15 am

What to Expect in Adult Studies:


  • Meaningful discussion about Bible interpretations
  • Meaningful discussion about applying the Bible and Christian beliefs to our personal lives as well as to social problems/issues
  • Lots of fellowship and laughter
  • Coffee and (often) breakfast goodies


Adult Studies are as follows:

Nooma Class begins at 9:00 (Classroom 7): Nooma class is a leans toward contemporary studies.  The class has covered the three seasons of The Chosen, completed a study on The Twelve Disciples, and is discussing the Holy Spirit.  Future plans include revisiting Rob Bell's Nooma Study followed by a study of Season Four of The Chosen.



Rahab Class begins at 9:15 (Classroom 9): The class utilizes the United Methodist Church Adult Bible Studies.  Each study is approximately 12 weeks long.   


Seekers Class begins at 9:15 (Classroom 5): The class utilizes the United Methodist Church Adult Bible Studies.  Each study is approximately 12 weeks long.
